We are still trying to locate 2 artist ladies: The one who drew this sketch of Colin Shamley's Band Boot around 1976, quoting one of Colin's songs; and the other who wrote the Lyrics for Look Up Brother. She worked at the Nobleman in Hillbrow from around 1969/ 70. Gabby was her name - we think. If you have any information please email us.

Recording John Gcaba at 3rd Ear Music for the BBC TV documentary on Solomon Linda> Capetown TV & Film maker, Mark Kaplan is producing a Documentary based on Rian Malan's research of the Solomon Linda / Mbube / Where Does The Lion Sleep Tonight story. Our Maskandi Music friend, John Gcaba, was asked to provide some 'walking music' on his nDloko & guitar. Here he is under the spotlight - That's Tony Bensusan holding the boom & in charge of recording - a music connection from those daze - and he's still doing sound. In the picture with John are Cameraman Brandt & director François.
