Dear President Mbeki:

As you know, I have sent many appeals to the South African government leadership in the past two years regarding Mzwakhe Mbuli, a prominent artist, hero of the movement for justice, and leader of the people who has gotten caught in the treacherous web of corruption attacking your beautiful country. I know that you are terribly concerned about corruption. You have said many things indicating your concern. Two things that stand out in my memory are your statement that South Africa must 'nurture the arts, and not corruption', and that 'corrupt police will even kill each other to protect their corruption'.
